We were up early this morning, because we have a big driving day today. We left Devils Marbles at 7.20, and it was quite pleasant packing up in the 18 degree morning air.
We got fuel at Tennant Creek, at a reasonable $1.435 a litre.
We made it to Dunmarra Roadhouse by midday. We had planned to stop there for the night, but as we arrived so early, we decided to keep going to Mataranka, which is another 200km North.
We got to Mataranka at about half past two, and set up camp in the most shady spot we've been yet.
Once we had camp established, we went for a walk to the hot springs and had a swim. The water and the air were about 30 degrees. The current was very slight, but the water was very deep, over both mine and Tim's heads. The twins were able to swim a bit, but the little two had to be content with sitting on the step. We borrowed a pool noodle to do a bit of floating, and Levi thought it was the greatest. He kept jumping off the step onto the noodle and then kicking and spinning himself around in circles, spluttering and giggling madly.

There has been a photo of Mataranka on the back of my Mum-in-law's toilet door for as long as I can remember. It is on my bucket List! :) I haven't found the pic for me yet, unless it is the Camel Corp!! That was a fascinating piece of trivia I had not heard before!!
