Day Fourteen - June 23

So, we left Mataranka just after 9 this morning, and we are heading to Laurens house!! It's still a very comfortable temperature, but quite foggy today. Lots of low cloud and no glimpse of sky yet.

The boys are excited to be going to Darwin today, because we talked to Lauren last night and she was telling us that tonight at the wharf there is a fireworks demonstration to help you decide what you want to buy for fireworks night next Saturday. At least, that's why the big kids are excited. Levi is just looking forward to having a sausage sizzle at the park for dinner. That boy is just crazy about sausages. When we were at Kings Canyon, he just stood longingly next to the bbqs and watched other people cook sausages. Little imp would inform whoever was cooking, "I really like sausages." He did get one lovely grandfather type who gave up a sausage for him. Scab. Good thing he's cute. Two nights later he tried the same gag on the couple next to us, after dinner. Announced, "I really like chocolate." They agreed that they liked chocolate too, but they didn't have any. Haha.

About an hour into our drive to Lauren's, Zane declared his tummy hurt. We found the bucket in time for him to lose his breakfast. He was a very sick little boy for the rest of the day.

We arrived at Laurens at 3, after a quick fuel and grocery stop. I got four loads of washing done and pegged before bed.

Tim and Lauren took our three healthy children into the city for the fireworks preview, which they loved. There was lots of excited chatter and descriptions when they got home at 9.15.
